Jubilation to Disaster.

An early wake up call for the trip to Brugge (45 minute drive) for the start of the Ronde van Vlaandeen.  From the parking garage the stream of people was huge.  Similar to Kenmore square on Red Sox opening day.  This was huge.  50,000 to 60,000 fans lined the barricaded street leading from the team bus area to the start in the Markt Square.  9:40 rides off!

After a brief tour of Brugge I drove to Kortrijk to view the race again.  Disaster struck not the riders but me.  The rent-a-car stopped.  8 stressful hours later I made it back to the hotel with a new car.

Seeing the Pros climb the Muur will have to wait until next year.
