Aggressive Racing, but Grysolle Sneaks Away
Aggressive racing thinned the peloton to 23 riders as the race entered Wetteren for the finish. Willy veteran Sylvain Grysolle slipped away from the group and rode solo for the final kilometers to gain a 15 second victory. The Flanders win was the biggest of Grysolle's career.
