Binda Out Duels Girardengo

22 year old Alfredo Binda battled the Campionissimo Constante Girardengo through 5 stages before taking the 1925 Giro d'Italia lead. Girardengo attacked the young race leader constantly in the mountains but Binda matched every breakaway. After Binda took the race lead Girardengo scored 4 more stage wins but could not break the will of the young and talented Binda.

In Milan Alfredo Binda claimed his first Giro d'Italia victory.
