Jeanne Longo-Ciprelli (Fra)

Born: October 31, 1958, Saint Gervais-Grenoble, France

She broke over 35 world records. At the age of 46, she is still beating women half her age. Longo has 12 World Championships on her resume. She was selected #97 by Sports Illustrated Century's Greatest Sportswomen. At the 1992 Olympics, she broke away from the pack, crossed the finished line and raised her arms in victory. She failed to realize that Australia's Kathy Watt had broken away earlier and finished twenty seconds ahead of her. Arrogant to the end, she never befriended an opponent or a teammate.
