The 1937 World Championship Road Race was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The race course is 34 laps of the 8.75 km flat circuit.
Five riders attacked from the start and escaped the peloton. Winner of the 1937 Liege-Bastogne-Liege classic Elio Meulenberg executed a brilliant sprint to win in front of German Emil Kijewski and Suisse rider Paul Egli. 1933 World Champion Georges Speicher finished in 5th place.
