                James Brown (1933-2006) legendary American  R&B, gospel, soul and funk singer-songwriter, known as 'The Godfather of  Soul' (song: "Sex Machine"; "Papa's Got A Brand  New Bag"; "Hot Pants"), died of heart failure December 25 at 73. 
                   
                Gerald Ford (1913-2006) 38th US  President (1974-77) and 41st US Vice President (1973-74), died at 93. 
                   
                Saddam Hussein (1937-2006) President of Iraq  (1979-2003) was tried and found guilty of crimes against humanity and executed  by hanging in Baghdad at the age of 69.
